Harry Kewell: Reborn at Galatasaray
By: Musab | April 21st, 2009Our squad is full of some very classy foreigners such as Baros, Lincoln, and Nonda, but even though he just arrived this year, Harry Kewell has already won the hearts of the CimBom faithful. Harry brought that extra bit of technique and finesse that this squad sorely needed, as shown with his 6 goals and 8 assists in 19 games.
Harry came to us after a long and bright career with Leeds United and Liverpool, winning the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005 in Istanbul. However his career was blighted with injuries that hampered his playing time. He fell out of favor at Liverpool and eventually moved to his new home with us on a free transfer.
I predicted that Harry would find peace and comfort with Galatasaray and that he would be very successful. In a career riddled with injuries, Harry has come through for us suffering only one minor injury towards the end of the first half which was taken care of. He shows that he has the desire to win trophies with Galatasaray, and the fans have paid it back with their support.
Recently Harry starred in a commercial for Galatasaray’s new cell phone service, GSMobile;
“It is such a privilege to be a part of Galatasaray” Well said Harry. There is always room on this team for whoever understands how important that Yellow-Red jersey is.
And a taste of his goals:
Let’s see some more of those goals Harry, let’s win those trophies that we know you want so bad!

As an Australian who loves Kewell im am so greatful that he is finally playing regularly for Gala, i was hopping he would have joined Roma but i dont mind as he been sensational and his great form will not only help Gala but Australia which is crucial for the world cup.
i hope he stays, i think he will stay and show loyalty to a club that gave him a second chancePosted from

Kewell has amazed me. Galatasaray just seemed absolutely the wrong fit for him, and I didn’t see the passionate fans taking to his lazy(ish), injury-prone contributions.
Huge respect is due to the man for succeeding.

I genuinely believe that Harry is happy to be living in Istanbul and being a part of Galatasaray. Sur ehe’s not playing at the highest level of world football, and he’s not making as much money, but he’s happy. And isn’t that really important as well?

Kewell is much better off a Cimbom than a team like Roma.
Here he is a hero to the fans! he walks tall maybe your right it’s not the highest level but playing in Turkey is different, walking onto a pitch against teams like Besiktas & Fener is an experience that is well worth it.
