Wasn’t the best of matches, but we got the job done; Ankaraspor 0-1 Galatasaray
By: Musab | March 17th, 2008On Friday Sivasspor were held to a draw to lowly Manisaspor, so Galatasaray could have opened a two point gap. Fener and Besiktas were still to play on Sunday. Wasn’t the sexy offensive football of matches prior, but we got the three points from an away game.

On Thursday night, word had come back to Istanbul that Herr Feldkamp, who decided to leave for Germany to attend his grandson’s birthday, couldn’t return in time for Galatasaray’s important away match against Ankaraspor due to a “bacterial infection of the left leg”. What bullshit. I have a very clear message to the Galatasaray board. Kick Feldkamp out. Everyday he stays with us, he brings us down. I mean have you ever heard of a coach who just decides to get up and go to his home country for his grandson’s big birthday bash and then can’t return due to an infection? Feldkamp knows that Galatasaray is fighting for the championship really hard, so why would he ever take such an irresponsible decision? I’ll tell you why, cuz he dosen’t care. It’s just that simple. The club is in the wrong hands with him in charge. He must go.
Thankfully we won the match. If we didn’t….I don’t want to think of what else I would have said about Feldkamp….
The match was pretty simple. We got out there, got our goal, missed a couple of open nets, the usual. However there are some things worth talking about. Lincoln was literally attacked by the Ankaraspor players, and yet the referee watched and did nothing. One of these days that referee, Mister Yunus Yildirim is gonna assaulted out in the streets and everone will watch and do nothing. In the face of such abuse, what can Lincoln do? He tries to do a trick, he get stomped on. He tries to pass the ball a guy come out of nowhere and shoves him to the ground. It’s complete garbage. And then we wonder why no one wants to come to Turkey.
