Postmatch: Fenerbahce 0-0 Galatasaray- We didn’t beat them but we’ll get them next time

By: Musab | February 4th, 2008

After almost 8 years, we finally did not lose to Fenerbahce at their home stadium. However we really should have won. We played them off the field and embaressed them in front of their fans. Take that you scum.

Stadium: Şükrü Saracoğlu
Referees: Fırat Aydınus, Serkan Ok, Bülent Gökçü

FENERBAHÇE: Volkan Demirel, Gökhan Edu, Lugano, Carlos, Deivid, Mehmet Aurelio, Selçuk Şahin, Uğur Boral (min. 65 Vederson), Alex, Semih (min. 38 Kezman)
Coach: Arthur Zico

GALATASARAY: Orkun, Uğur Uçar, Emre Güngör, Servet Çetin, Volkan Yaman, Arda Turan (min.90+2 Bouzid), Barış Özbek, Mehmet Topal, Serkan Çalık (min. 90+1 M.Güven), Hakan Şükür (min.60 Ayhan), Ümit Karan
Coach: Karl Heinz Feldkamp

Yellow Cards: Servet, Ümit, Barış, Serkan (Galatasaray) Lugano, Selçuk (Fenerbahçe)
Red Cards: Lugano (min.82)

What a great game. We got out there with 16 Turks, of which 11 were under the age of 24. Fenerbahce on the other hand shamelessly played a full strength squad filled with their third-class Brazilians. And so we had no choice but to embaress them in front of their fans, as well as Dunga who just happened to be in Istanbul to watch the many Brazilians on Fenerbahce and Besiktas.

Every single player was amazing. Arda ran the most in the match, Serkan and Baris tore up the midfield, Mehmet Topal stopped every attack, Umit and Hakan didn’t allow Fener to get out of their penalty box. But Emre Gungor was the best. He only just arrived but he’s already so calm and confident. Congratulations lads. You guys brought a tear to my eye. Just one small problem. You guys forgot the goal. We got into three excellent chances but Arda and Hakan missed them. That’s ok. Still made me proud.

Now onto the thrashing of Ezikbahce/Kerizbahce/Yavsakbahce.

How does it feel to be crushed by a bunch of young Turkish kids. Hey Roberto, do your legs hurt? Are you feeling the pains of age? Maybe you should just stop with this whole football business. I mean you are 35 years old…. Hey Alex, we’re you even playing? I swear I never heard the announcer call your name. I never saw you even touch the ball. Maybe a 31 yr.old Brazilian like you couldn’t stand up against a 22 year old Turk like Mehmet Topal. Hey Zico, mister “I don’t know jackshit about actually managing a football club, but I’m gonna just keep smiling and taking poses for the camera”. Maybe you should just go back to Japan. I heard Yokohamas looking for another old fat Brazilian. Or maybe you prefer playing charity matches with other oldies like yourself.

Man I can’t wait till the return leg at our Ali Sami Yen stadium. By then Nonda, Barusso, Lincoln, and Song will all be ready.

Just one final note. Wait to go Giants, you brought honor back to New York, the greatest city in the world. 18-1…. Man thats messed up.
