Postmatch: Ankaragucu 0-4 Galatasaray, back on top where we belong, yet again.

By: Musab | January 27th, 2008

We were missing a total of ten players; Lincoln, Linderoth, Hasan Sas, Baris Ozbek, Okan Buruk, Ayhan Akman, Shabani Nonda, and others were all either injured or banned. We had three players who had never played a single league match before on the bench. The starting line-up was 100% Turkish for the first time in like thirty years. And 8 out of 11 were under the age of 24. So guess what happened? We tore them to pieces.

Man of the match was without a doubt Arda Turan. The 20 yr. old had been taking plenty of heat about a month ago. And so he gave the best possible response. For the past three matches he’s been playing amazing football. And this week was the best yet. He was directly responsible for all four goals and even managed to score one himself. This kids just full of potential. He’s gotta go to a European club as quick as possible so that he can really start shining.

I just can’t see how we cannot become champions. If we can crush opposition when we’re so weak, what’s gonna happen when we get our full strength back? Must suck for the other Fener’li and Besiktas’li bastards to know they have to struggle so much for no real result. Sivasspor was also beaten 1-4 by Fenerbahce. Thanks a lot pigs, you brought us back to the top.

Here are the standings:

Galatasaray: 45 +25
Fenerbahce: 44 +21
Sivasspor: 43 +16
Besiktas: 43 +13
Kayserispor: 35 +13
Genclerbirligi Oftasspor: 27 +2

Foreign players can be important assets to any team, but it’s always great to have a team of locally-based players win a game. I’m sure the young players added plenty of pace to Galatasary’s game.

Just read that the club have placed a bid for City keeper Isaksson.

Yea their trying to get a new keeper but theirs no real progress yet. They’ve placed bids for Isaksson and Jaaskelainen but I don’t think that either of them are going to come by the end of the transfer Window.
