Galatasaray 6-3 Manisaspor- Now that’s a match.

Well nobody was surprised by the number of goals. G.Saray-Manisa matches almost always turn out large quantities of goals. But this game was special. In front of a stadium packed with fanatical CimBom fans, the boys tore their opponents apart.

For the second week Galatasaray took to the field with absences. However our young starlets were able to fill their place and for what they lacked in experience, they made up with desire.

However I want to take a moment out for Hakan Sukur. Hakan is 37 yrs. old. He’s broken every record you can think of. Top scorer in the league and for his country. Name it he’s done it. And on the weekend he’s scored a hat-trick. Now tell me, shouldn’t this man be allowed to play for another 10 yrs? He takes care of himself, he’s a quiet family oriented man, doesn’t smoke or drink. His contract expires this June. Let’s see what happens.

The weekend was also good for Galatasaray. Besiktas lost to Kayserispor, Sivas was drawn away from home, and Fenerbahce managed to win with the referees help (A penalty, a clearly offside goal) and of course their infinite luck. (twice their opponents hit the crossbar.) So here’s the table:

We’ve got a big match against Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA cup. As we all know Galatasaray must win these “Avrupa Maclari“, “Europe matches”. Feldkamp better have an answer.
