Oh no, he’s injured. Bad.

By: Musab | December 8th, 2008

When Harry Kewell arrived at Galatasaray the only thing that went through the head of most CimBomlu’s is whether or not he’ll play 4 back to back weeks of competitive football. And for the most part, he’s delivered. With 9 goals after 20 matches for us, I think it was a great piece of business getting him over FOR FREE. While he hasn’t always been so energetic and hasn’t always been played on his natural left side, he’s been very productive for us.

And now we learn that he’s ended 2008 after a muscle strain on his right thigh after Sunday’s game with Ankaragucu. What makes this worse is that hes flown back to Australia for surgery. We all know that if it wasn’t for his constant injuries, he’d still be playing in England. Hopefully his injuries aren’t acting up again. This latest injury come as Galatasaray are facing an away match at Genclerbirligi, a derby against Besiktas, and a hard test away at highflying Sivasspor.

The logical thing would be to put Aydin on the right wing and allow Arda and Aydin to tear up the opponents with Arda’s crosses and Aydin’s speed. However this means putting the weight of Galatasaray’s flanks on the shoulder’s of two 20 year olds. Hopefully they won’t succumb to the pressure. I don’t think they will at least.

Let’s all wish Harry a quick recovery.

Can’t really blame you Utku, Kewells been pretty good so far. And this is his first injury so far, so i guess we should thank the footballing gods for this even.

From what Ive heard its nothing major, apparantly he’s only going back to Australia to see the Medical staff who originally did the operation. There is a chance its not crazy serious but bare in mind it is Harry Kewell so you can never Tell

    there are positives though:

Arda will probly wanna stake his claim on the left so he’ll be looking to make a serious impact

    Linderoth is back this weekend
